Burlington’s Parent University and The Family Room held a celebration of learning and excellency of their students who have come consistently to learn about tech scams, computers, and receive direct technical assistance in line with their goals! At the event was our lead trainer on the project, Maliki LaForce!
“I wasn’t expecting to receive as much praise as I did. The real praise should be going to the students who have shown dedication, persistence, and courage when broaching the new world of the internet. These students are parents in our community who continue to try their best and learn what they don’t know every day. Thank you to the students, the Family Room, and Burlington’s Parent University for having me. I hope our paths cross again in the future!” says Maliki.
These programs would not have been possible without the amazing staff at Family Room and Burlington Parent University who provided translation services, childcare, tech assets, and much more to the students of the class. A big thank you goes out to them and the generosity of our funders and donors!
