On May 17th, Maliki LaForce, Wolde North, and Damien Royer attended “Welcome All,” a conference hosted by Burlington School District and Champlain College that focused on educating recent immigrants to Vermont. Panels and talks covered topics such as issues facing new Americans, different approaches to working with students, and sharing local programs.
Damien and Wolde gave a talk on the use of Agile Methodology in the classroom, while Maliki had the opportunity to sit on a panel and discuss the efforts of Burlington Parent University alongside Denise Torrey.
