We are overjoyed to announce our two newest additions to the board of directors: Mahtab Mitra and Denise Torrey!
Mahtab is a driven advocate for education, empowerment, and equity with experiences across Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the United States. As a former leader with the Vermont Afghan Alliance, Mahtab designed and implemented programs to empower Afghan women, with a focus on bridging gaps in education and technology access.
Denise is an immensely qualified and accomplished professional with a distinct background in education, cultural coaching, and language. She works as the Manager of the Burlington Parent University Program, where she has worked hard to create lasting relationships between schools and families.
